Is Networking on LinkedIn the Key to our Evolution and Survival?
Let me tell you first that Social Media has been an invention that has truly been able to make us lazier. It sounds funny but it is a true fact. Part of human evolution is to have better use of our brains and less use of physical work.
Online Networking started with connecting people with similar interests; not too long after that it turn out to connect old friends and family. Finally it has come to the great idea to connect businesses to businesses, people to businesses and vice-versa.
I have just simply stated how online networking has evolved dramatically. This matters to me because even though I had previous knowledge about online networking; it is something that never stops surprising.
During 2009 online networking was more for people over 18. Nowadays it has also become a dangerous “world”; where the more people are getting to know about the topic the more kids are exposed to this kind of infinite unsupervised social exposure. This is misleading the topic.
In any case, LinkedIn serves as a significant business need and as an aid in expanding professional influences beyond common human capabilities. I also agree that, because social networking has led to the possibility of keeping people inform quicker than ever; in a system where everyone has to keep up to date on what is best for them. Social Media has become to be the main tool in order to improve a business network and knowledge on new trends.
New tools and technologies will always be of great benefit to people, businesses, etc. It is part of an evolution where everyone must be aware of what is out there and what is coming in order to keep up with the fast growing social relations. In the case of companies it is about who stays on top and ends up leading with more clients.
LinkedIn is just one example among all the other social media that are accomplishing the process of evolution. The key to our survival is being able to keep up to date with this new social networking improvements. Let’s remember that in the survival of the fittest only those who learn to adapt fast will benefit from the new waves.
